Is there a palatable non-yank word for rookie? 'New professional of the year'.

Rodri should be winning OLD player of the year.

I was hoping Harvey Elliott could be in with a shout for young player but maybe not.

Needs a few more years to get on the list, but yeah, it should be for players like him.

Didn't Bale win both at one point which sort of started the whole thing being a farce.

I thought the nordy lad at Liverpool was the best thing since sliced bread. Or has he not played enough?

Assuming he means Doak there? Yeah he got about 5 games in and then has Thiago'd himself off to the physio table for the rest of the year.

Aye, one the Liverpool contingent should be up there. Harvey Elliott's had two full seasons under his belt and looks very much established. Cole Palmer's definitely had a breakthrough year. Then you're making the numbers up with the likes of Miley, Bradley and so on.

Is that starts? Wiki thinks Elliott has featured in 32 league games this season.

60 minutes per game, sounds like starts. Cant see players getting subbed on after 30 minutes all too often.

Not sure how accurate whoscored.com is but it seems legit.

The fifth kraut spot going to Dortmund as things stand, which you'd have to say is somewhat more merited than Spurs.

They would if Dortmund weren't finishing in the top 5, I think.

Who's this going to be then? The list must be pretty short for people who could have conceivably sexually abused a 15 year old in the UK in the 90s if they are still working as the article seems to suggest. Perhaps someone soon to be unemployed?

At first I thought it was someone in the premier league, as in the organisation, but the way it's written made me think manager but I guess it could be an owner. Not sure how you 'remain in position ' as an owner.

    Reece James is back

Wouldn’t have bothered bringing him back until next season but at least he finally had surgery so might not be a crock. (Definitely getting injured in the last 3 games or with England if he gets picked up)

Because despite what fans like to believe, surgery is not a magic fix for these injuries and very much has pros and cons. Very possible to end up worse off than you started.

With Burnley needing a win and nothing but a win from this match, a Tottenham goal was always coming.
